After all the complications of selling a house, the actual job of moving is often neglected, and therefore produces headaches for everyone involved. Helpiammoving.com offers Free, Independent advice which aims to point people who are moving house in the right direction, making their life and the whole process of moving as straight forward as possible.

All services on the site are free of charge for 'The Mover'. The site was set up to make moving less stressful and gives practical and impartial advice. We are the only website solely dedicated to Moving House. We do not combine our services with selling insurances, mortgages, property services etc and can therefore concentrate on one area; allowing us to give accurate advice on one topic alone, 'Moving House'.

Why doesn’t Helpiammoving.com only recommend trade association companies?

We do list BAR, GUILD & First members on our site and clearly display the logo so our visitors know if a company belongs to an association. We also have a full description with links to appropriate trades so our visitors can find out more information. However not all companies are members of a trade association and this does not mean that they are not reputable. As we are from the removal industry we know that they are some very good companies out there who do not feel the need to belong to a trade association. Many family run companies that have been in business for years and get most of their work from recommendations, offering an extremely high level of professionalism and customer service. We also cater for all types of moves i.e. overseas, national, local as well as mini/diy movers who may only have a small number of belongings. This is why we list man and a van companies who generally do not belong to any trade associations. Every house move is different and requires differing approaches and requirements. There is a place for all types of moves and what we do is list these companies under a section called ‘small moves’. This means that the ‘movers’ knows that they are a small company and not really aimed at larger household moves.

We have made navigating through our site as easy and user friendly as possible. The site has been broken down into easy section; which can be printed off, free of charge and used as guides for 'The Move'.

Guide - Step by step guide to moving. Questions to ask moving companies, what to expect, how to choose a removal company.

Searchable Map - An easy to use map to help people find removal companies in their area. This is broken down into postcode to make it easier for the web user. Icons on the results pages are used to display the services that a removal company can undertake i.e. staff uniformed, I.T specialists.

Our Hints and Tips Section - Handy hints, tips and advice in searchable topics on everything from moving with kids to moving with fish.

Moving-Quotes - Recently added to the site is our 'Moving Quote Form' system. This is aimed to make 'the movers' lives a little easier when it comes to finding a removal company. The form allows 'The Mover' to fill out one simple form with their requirements and volume of furniture; this is then forwarded on to four removal companies in their area. All forms are hand checked for any discrepancies and email addresses are confirmed.

This form has been specifically designed for 'The Mover' and has been created from their feedback. The forms themselves are divided into three categories Small moves, Local/National moves and European/Overseas moves. This is to determine how comprehensive the list of furniture etc is as well as enabling us to direct the form to the most appropriate companies in the postcode areas.

We Do Not charge for this service and no added costs are passed onto people moving covertly. We do not add anything to the price quoted by the removal companies, instead we prefer to the removal company contact a mover direct. This also allows both parties to evaluate the situation, identify, discuss and solve any unusual requests.

If the person filling in the form agrees to be contacted, we send them an email wishing them all the best in their new home and invite them to fill out a quick feedback form that rates us and the removal company that they have used. We keep the rating on file and award stars for companies that constantly receive good results. Helpiammoving.com does not sell on any movers information and only uses the details to pass on to five removal companies in their area. We operate under the Date Protection Act, reg Z8657840

Kids Stuff - A fun section including printable pictures and puzzles for the kids for the day of the move.

Extras - A choice of 5 free of charge change of address cards which can be printed off.
